The Premises Manager Fire Training course run by Griffin Fire was recommended to us by our Health and Safety consultant last year and far exceeded our expectations.
It was very interesting and informative and we found the interactive aspect invaluable. The training included putting out fires in a controlled environment using the extinguishers and fire blanket. We experienced the effect smoke has on your vision and awareness in the smoke filled room simulator and also had hands on training activating and deactivating fire alarms.

The venue is situated 2 minutes’ walk away from Bethnal Green tube station, which we found convenient and easy to find.

All the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and keen to answer any questions we had.

In 2012 we enlisted the services of Mr.Champion who carried out a third party accredited fire risk assessment on the practice. This was a most comprehensive and intense assessment which highlighted the necessary action the practice should take to comply with all Fire Safety Regulations. Due to the continued and invaluable help and guidance from Mr.Champion the practice is now fully compliant with all regulations with full documentation to support this and I have no concerns whatsoever with what is now in place should we unfortunately have a fire on the premises or be visited by the Fire Service.

In addition to this the training that he has set up via Griffin Fire is, without doubt, the best training practice staff have ever received.
I went to the first training session which was for Premises Managers as I did not have confidence in carrying out the fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher checks etc etc. The course provided 'hands on' training in all aspects of Fire Safety and at the end of the day I was confident in all that I needed to do to be compliant. I have since sent the majority of my receptionists to Fire Marshall training and they have all reported, without exception, how good the training was. Comments of 'brilliant', 'best days training I have ever been on', scarey but so glad I went' 'what a great day' have been fed back to me. I will continue to send further members of staff to this training and any new staff will be sent as part of their induction.
